Frontier Developments’ CEO David Braben has confirmed that the Xbox One version of Elite: Dangerous will be releasing October 6th on Xbox One. However any ships and modules that have been unlocked in the preview build will not carry over to the full release, but the cash value of the items will be deposited in Elite’s inventory. There was also confirmation that there are no plans to use the Xbox One Kinect for head tracking.
There is a possibility that there will be account transfers available between PC and Xbox One in future, though further details on such a system are scarce. Those who took part in the preview program for Elite: Dangerous on Xbox One will receive a reward, though there are no details on what that will be either.

Sir David Braben Thank-you-very-much.

…and there’s another reason to jump platform to xbox one… grrrr. Come on Sony, stop farting around courting ‘indie’ games.

Exactly Amphlett, the thought of potentially waiting another year for this to arrive on PS4 is almost too much to bear, and couldn’t agree more with you regarding Sony ‘farting around’ with indies. AAA’s all the way!

Erm, think i will give ED a miss, there’s no single player campaign so to speak off and well, missions just involve trading and upgrading ships mainly.
i’m looking forward to no man’s sky tho! ;)
