Fallout 4 Season Pass Announced, Bethesda Have No Idea What The DLC Will Be

Good news everyone, Bethesda have announced the Fallout 4 Season Pass which will cost $30 and will get you “all of the Fallout 4 DLC we ever do.” All of it! And considering the hefty amount that came with Fallout 3, that could be a lot of DLC.

So what will this DLC comprise of? Over to Bethesda…

Since we’re still hard at work on the game, we don’t know what the actual DLC will be yet, but it will start coming early next year. Based on what we did for Oblivion, Fallout 3, and Skyrim, we know that it will be worth at least $40, and if we do more, you’ll get it all with the Season Pass.

Even if you don’t buy the Seasons Pass Bethesda say “We’ll be doing regular free updates to the game, and like Skyrim, these will come with not just fixes, but new features.”

It was also confirmed that mods would come to PS4.

  1. Bethesda tends to make some hefty DLC, but announcing a season pass this early is just silly.

    • Either way, it’s good that they are at least gonna start work on the dlc after they finish the main game.

      • This is true.

Although I kinda doubt their claim that they don’t really know what it’ll be. Maybe they don’t know all of it, but I’d imagine something’s gotta be in or entering pre-production. Writers gotta write.

      • Yeah good point. And they said that the game was finished a few months ago, they’re just focused on bug fixing till launch now!

  2. Makes me think the main game will be lacking content a bit like Destiny!

    • You must not have played previous games by Bethesda Softworks. They’re always massive. Almost too big at times.

    • Unlike Bungie, Bethesda has a proven track record of stuffing their games full of content. Granted, Skyrim relied too much on fetch quests as part of it’s endless quests systems but they never fail to include a lot of content. Fallout 3, whilst it didn’t have the same amount of content as Oblivion, it did contain a fair amount. And unlike Bungie, they have always been RPG developers since their creation. Arena was the game that made them and from there, they grew.

  3. What makes you think that? Not only are they made by different companies but Bethesda games normally have a lot more content than bugs and if you’ve ever played a Bethesda game at launch that’s a hell of a lot of content.

  4. We’ve got something for sale but we don’t know what it is,what we do know is that it costs $30.
    Makes sense to me.

    • Better to not know and wait until after the game comes out and we have already played most of it than knowing and complaining that it should of been on the main game because it was already developed during the main game’s development. See Batman Arkham Knight

      • I don’t mind the dlc part of games,i’ve no qualms about that. It’s just bizarre they way they’ve done it,sight unseen yet they know the price of it.

  5. Considering that Skyrim’s DLC is excellent barring Hearthfire(unless you are into roleplaying), I can see 4 getting 2 big add ons, some cosmetic packs and maybe, one final add-on. Expansions are no longer their thing it seems but for £30, you may as well wait until 1 year has passed for the Ultimate or GOTY edition.

    • Hopefully $30 does not equal £30! I was hoping for around £ 20 and even then I would only consider it when I knew what I was getting.
