TGS Attendees Can Meet The Last Guardian’s Trico

The Last Guardian’s infamous cat-weagle is making an appearance at TGS, although perhaps not in the form many fans were expecting.

Fumito Ueda’s genDESIGN announced that the creature will feature on a 6 metre screen on the show floor. Attendees will be able to flail around and wave at Trico and the AI will attempt to react to people’s actions and generally look cute. The AI is exactly the same as found in the game, giving people an early chance to experience what The Last Guardian might offer.

It’s likely that attempting to cajole Trico into doing things might prove difficult and the cat-bird-rat will also get tired from witnessing too much waving and go to sleep.

  1. Or they could do a massive presentation with Trico and explore more of the game along with going into a bit of depth how they created him to hype it up. I’m almost certain having a crap load of new footage would get people excited.

    • I’m absolutely sure that they don’t want to give any more away so this is a nice way to get people into the “aww… it’s so real!” mood.
