The Angry Birds Movie Gets Its First Trailer

Angry Birds is a franchise that is worth a lot of money, from humble beginnings to getting tie ins with franchises like Star Wars. The conflict of the birds and the pigs has gone through a lot of iterations, and now it is coming to a cinema near you in Summer 2016. The Angry Birds movie has quite a big name cast including the likes of Jason Sudeikis, Peter Dinklage, Danny McBride, Bill Hader, and Maya Rudolph.

The story is set on an island populated with flightless birds with the majority enjoying their lives in paradise. Of course things change when the pigs rock up in their ship on the shores of the island, which will eventually lead to a conflict of some sort.

  1. Hang on, wasn’t the Rio and Rio2 pair of films based on the Angry Birds franchise?

Will this film stop playing after 5 minutes and ask for more money to continue?

  2. “Angry Birds is a franchise that is a lot of money,…”

Not even sure that makes sense. Am I being an idiot? The answer to both, might be “yes”. :-)

Anyway, I’ve seen worse trailers so it’ll be interesting to see how this turns out. The animation and modelling looks top-notch.

    • I blame the fact I was watching TV at the same time as writing. Multi tasking failed me.

      • You’re far more talented than me. I’m just happy if I’m wearing clothes.

        So are the neighbours.

  3. I will actually go and watch this. I don’t know why ni didn’t even play a lot of Angry Birds. But I wanna see it.
*i will let myself out now
