Campo Santo has announced that mystery exploration title Firewatch will be releasing on February 9th 2016. The game is set in Wyoming and places players in the boots of Henry, a fire lookout. The job is an isolated one with his only companion being Delilah, Henry’s supervisor, though her presence is only through the radio. The relationship with Delilah will be impacted by the events that Henry experiences.
Firewatch is making its console debut on PS4 and has already been confirmed for PC, Mac, and Linux. There may be a beta coming though details of that have not been expanded upon.

I’m really interested in this, I think it looks great. But I want to see more gameplay first, I hope it’s not like some Journey or Everyone’s Gone to the Rapture bollocks.

You’ve got no soul! ;)

Think it will be like Everyone’s Gone to the Rapture and Ether One. I don’t mind if the focus is on exploration, since it appears to be a large varied environment. Would be nice to have a bit more action than those 2 games though; and so long as it’s not as buggy as Ether One or as slow as EGTTR. I’m certainly interested in it.

I don’t mind exploration games, I love just roaming around in GTA, RDR, Assassins Creed, etc, it’s that I don’t want it to be just a walking simulator.

Yeah that’s fair enough mate, there’s always the worry it could be like that. In EGTTR there weren’t even puzzles which really limited the gameplay (although I still enjoyed it) – hopefully there’s combat and/or hands-on puzzle solving in this!

I haven’t heard much about this since the original announcement but it sounds interesting.
