News Snatch: The Final Station, ARK: Survival Evolved, And Resident Evil 0

Recycle that dinosaur dung!

Hey there, time for another round up of news wasn’t quite heroic enough to make it to a full post. First up we have our new arts and crafts section with a cute video from EA on how to make your own Yarny from Unravel. Awww!

North America will be getting a stand alone version of Bayonetta 2 next month on February 19th for $29.99. The original pack, which includes a port of the first Bayonetta game, will drop in price to $39.99.

This is The Final Station and it’s coming to PC via Steam this summer. It’s a bit like the excellent Snowpiercer movie, travel through the dying world on your train, but unlike the movie your train stops so you have to search through infected stations for parts to keep the chuff-chuff moving.

A deathmatch PvP mode is coming to Dying Light on PC thanks to modders.

Check out an hour of Wesker Mode in the soon to be released Resident Evil 0.

Respawn are hiring for a second game they are working on alongside Titanfall 2. The game is a third person action adventure and is almost certainly being created by Stig Asmussen (of God of War fame), who joined the company last year.

Diablo III has been updated to version 2.4.0 on all formats (PC, PS4 and Xbox One) at the same time. It includes a new location, expansions to current locations, fixes and tweaks, and action combat (the control system from the console versions) has been added to the PC game.

Tropico 5 – Complete Collection will be hitting PC as a digital download via Steam on 29th January and will include both full expansions ‘Espionage’ and ‘Waterborne’ along with all 10 DLC add-ons released to date.

Five Nights At Freddy’s World, a spin off of the hugely popular horror games, will launch on PC on on February 19th, with iOS and Android versions following closely behind.

Activision have recruited Hateful 8 producer Stacey Sher to be co-president of their new movie arm. Do you care? No. Me neither.

“The Most Important Game of Our Time Has Arrived” according to this press release, and it’s Ominbus, “the world’s premier next-to-last gen physics game about the most powerful bus in the universe that can’t stop or even slow down for reasons incomprehensible to the simple human mind.”
A demo can be downloaded here.

Microsoft has said Xbox One won’t be getting a background music feature “before summer.”

And Finally, Dung Beetles are to be added to ARK: Survival Evolved and yes, they will eat dino poo. “The Dung Beetle is a wondrous organic biofactory that eats excrement and other useless waste to then metabolize and produce burnable oil that can power generators and fertilize crops! Regarded as the perfect tame for cleaning up around the tribe’s dino-pen!”

They are joined by one of my favourite dinosaurs, the Dimetrodon, and proving that developers Wild Card have their priorities correct, the latest patch also brings craftable Beer Kegs.

This is completely unrelated to this article but I’m not sure where to comment.

I only access TSA via my android phone. Recently when I load the page I’m greeted by a full screen advert for the National Lottery (compounded by Lawrence Llewellyn f@#king Bowin’s smug git face) with no way of closing it. I have to quit out and then reload.
I appreciate that TSA need advertising but this is getting far too frustrating.

Does I anyone else have this or maybe a way around it?

We’re sorry about this, it’s not our fault and we have reported the advert to get it removed. We have a strict policy of no pop up or full screen adverts but sometimes the company that supplies them slips one in. Please bear with us it should be removed very shortly.

There is a little X in the top right, but it’s incredibly small, you can close the ad.

For some reason the little x only becomes visible when I’ve pressed the ‘back’ button or it wouldn’t have been so annoying.

Thanks for the prompt response though Tuffcub.

That Yarny character still looks like the Robot Devil from Futurama.

I might make one (or get someone nice to make one) just to keep Wooly Cthulhu company.

Yes, I have a Wooly Cthulhu.

I’ll be getting the Resident Evil collection when it comes out next week (I think?). Finally see what all the fuss is about. Can’t believe how good they look considering their age.

The Final Station looks good. Shame it’s Windows only.
