Nintendo has announced that people in the UK and Ireland will be able to register for MiiTOMO, the company’s first official mobile app, from February 17th. Those interested will be able to do so by creating a Nintendo Network ID, using a social media account, or a regular email address. Doing so will alert users when the app is available to download. Those who go the route of using a Nintendo account will receive a bonus that will count towards the My Nintendo rewards program.
My Nintendo will give players different rewards when they use various Nintendo products. The MiiTOMO app allows users to use their Mii’s to interact with friends, and to take photos with their Miis in them. Nintendo also confirmed that by March 2017 it plans to have five apps available for mobile devices, with this number including MiiTOMO.
