This is an odd one. Uncharted 4, as I’m sure many of you are aware, has been delayed a few times, with the most recent date having been in April. However, as Sony push back the release of the highly anticipated game once more, to May 10th, their reason isn’t one of needing more development time.
Writing on the PlayStation blogs, Shawn Layden, President and CEO of SCEA, wrote:
As you know, Naughty Dog is wrapping up production on Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End with the game on track to go gold and into production later this month. In an effort to meet the considerable worldwide demand, and to ensure that all gamers worldwide have the opportunity to play the game on day one, we have chosen to postpone the launch of the game by two weeks to allow for extra manufacturing time.
Now, you’d excuse me for expecting Sony to have had the clout and the foresight to be able to get enough discs churned out in time.
C’est la vie

“the ship level just felt like padding”
:O Blasphemy! Loved that section.
Old School
Agreed, it was epic.
The Lone Steven
It was excellent but it gave me the vibe of padding out the game.
stueeeee
It was epic and along with the plane, felt like the highlights for me but I agree looking at the whole story it could’ve easily been added to pad out, and it was like they thought of the set pieces before the actual story.
Hopefully will be more natural in 4 however I’d be so interested in how the original story was gonna go with Amy Hennig.
The Lone Steven
Apparently, they were told to put a chase sequence in before any of the plot was developed. The ship, it just seems a bit pointless due to Drake ending back up in the same city. Could have been swapped out with something just as good but made more sense plot wise and not be padding out.
UC4 should be excellent though.
Old School
Disappointing but there’s a silver lining, I won’t have to rush Ratchet and Clank now.

A much eagerly awaited game for me too, bonus not having to flit between Captain Quark and Nate. Silver lining indeed ;)
