Psyonix have teamed with video gaming streamer, Twitch, to announce an official competitive league for the Rocket League community. Twitch will be the only broadcasting platform for the league, and will also manage RLCS operations.
“Later this month, you can register in teams of three, for a chance to win the very first Rocket League Championship,” explain Psyonix in a blog post. “The three-month season kicks off with open qualifiers and we’ll have a total prize pool of $75,000 USD for the first season.”
To begin, championship matches can only be played on PlayStation 4 and Windows PC, but “additional platform support to be revealed in the future,” so don’t throw your toys out just yet, Xbox One’rs
