Star Ocean: Integrity and Faithlessness Will Release From June 28th

Square Enix has confirmed that Star Ocean: Integrity and Faithlessness, the fifth entry in the series, will release on June 28th in North America and July 1st in Europe for PS4. The publisher has confirmed that players won’t need to have played the previous games to understand the story of the game. The story focuses on Fidel and his crew who are trying to protect a girl, Relia, from sinister opposition.

Star Ocean: Integrity and Faithlessness will allow for up to seven ally characters to battle together at the same time on screen, will feature both English and Japanese voice options. You can choose to have Japanese voice overs with English subtitles too. Characters were designed by Street Fighter’s akiman, and the music has been composed by Motoi Sakuraba.

  1. Why do they feel the need to point out that if you go for the Japanese voice, you get to have the English subtitles? Would most people not just assume that was the case? It’d be rubbish if you could select Japanese voices and only get Japanese subtitles. That’s adding a layer of difficulty that most people would probably rather not add.

Then again, it appears you can have 7 characters fighting at once, which might also add an extra layer of difficulty. Or at least extra complexity, which is not something I object to in a JRPG.
