Koei Tecmo has released a new trailer for Atelier Sophie, which hits PS4 and Vita on June 10th, that shows the battle gameplay. It is a turn based affair which features standard and special attacks, with the execution of the attacks looking very colourful and smooth. If you don’t want to sit through the attack animations all the time it does appear you can skip them, at least according to prompt on the bottom left of the footage.
Atelier Sophie contains a rebuilt alchemy system and the game itself is the 17th entry into the Atelier series. The plot is about Sophie finding a book that holds all the secrets of alchemy, with the book’s soul taking Sophie as a mentor. Developer Gust has stated that Atelier Sophie will introduce the next standard for the series.
