SteamWorld Heist’s PlayStation Release Pushed Back A Week

If you were looking forward to playing SteamWorld Heist on PS4 and PS Vita next week, then I have bad news for you. The game’s been pushed back by a week until June 7th in North America and June 8th in Europe, if everything goes to (the new) plan.

Image & Form explained that the delay stems from the need to fix a few issues with publishing, localisation and quality assurance before it can be published. It sounds to me like a number of small niggles were flagged by Sony’s approval process, and so the game has been bounced back to the developer.

On the plus side, here’s four things that Image & Form helpfully suggest you can use the extra week for:

  1. You have a few more days to clear your backlog and/or your clutter (I’m looking at you, messy wardrobe!).
  2. You’ll have another week to pre-order the game for a nice discount if you’re in Europe or Australia.
  3. You can finally get around to watching Game of Thrones, or another show you’ve been putting off watching for ages.
  4. You can practice speedrunning SteamWorld Dig. The current world record is 22 minutes and 57 seconds (crazy!). Think you can beat that?

Got any suggestions of your own?
