If you were looking forward to playing SteamWorld Heist on PS4 and PS Vita next week, then I have bad news for you. The game’s been pushed back by a week until June 7th in North America and June 8th in Europe, if everything goes to (the new) plan.
Image & Form explained that the delay stems from the need to fix a few issues with publishing, localisation and quality assurance before it can be published. It sounds to me like a number of small niggles were flagged by Sony’s approval process, and so the game has been bounced back to the developer.
On the plus side, here’s four things that Image & Form helpfully suggest you can use the extra week for:
- You have a few more days to clear your backlog and/or your clutter (I’m looking at you, messy wardrobe!).
- You’ll have another week to pre-order the game for a nice discount if you’re in Europe or Australia.
- You can finally get around to watching Game of Thrones, or another show you’ve been putting off watching for ages.
- You can practice speedrunning SteamWorld Dig. The current world record is 22 minutes and 57 seconds (crazy!). Think you can beat that?
Got any suggestions of your own?
