Sadly it doesn’t show damage, and the game doesnt have dynamic weather which is what you’d want in a motorsport simulator.
Those trees though…

They are a lot better than GT’s past trees, never played 6 but 5’s were way behind the curve. Trees, very important.

Who wants damage, dynamic weather in a motorsport sim? Pfft, trees is where it at! Fooking TREES MAN!
That said, i don’t blame them for playing it safe. I mean, Naughty Dog got torn apart by various critics, for it’s crappy lemons. I mean, who makes a game and half arses the lemons!? I tell you, we need HD lemons! Lemons should be the standard that all games aim for! The TSA scoring system should be replaced by fruit!
Sprouts will be the lowest score due to the average person disliking them.

The social aspect of the game is a good idea but I think it may lose its appeal to the 90+% who have no chance of winning.

Depends how good the ‘sport’ side of things will be. A weekly league with class division, great, I might have a good chance. A big championship with qualifiers only the elite will pass, and the whole game won’t last 10 hours.
The standard of racing at the recent reveal doesn’t inspire confidence, and we all know the steward system and commentary are part of the show, not the game. Still, we live in hope.
I do quite like the social idea, but I agree fully they’ll have to make it worth it.

It’s division based, they’ve said, so no matter your skill level, you’ll be competing with those of a similar ability.

All show and no substance at the moment. Call me a GT sceptic if you will, but we know it’s about the ‘sport’ element so I’d like to see some info on the structure of the online events, how the average Joe goes about getting classed correctly to match with similarity skilled players, penalty systems, flag rules (if any), qualifying/practice options, overall accessibility.
I would make a joke about Gran Turismo: The Real Photo Simulator, but it’s probably already been done.
