Earlier this week the team at NetherRealm Studios teased fans with a brutal cinematic trailer for its superpower slugfest, Injustice 2. It showed a small yet indicative all-star showdown, featuring a handful of augmented heroes going toe-to-toe as one might expect.
Roll forward a few days and now we have an actual gameplay trailer, as seen above. In truth, it doesn’t give a whole lot away in terms of new features. That said, it looks absolutely stunning for a fighting game, sporting either Unreal Engine 4 or one of NetherRealm’s modified builds.
Fans of the DC comics will be happy to see a number of new and returning faces including mainstays such as Supes and Aquaman alongside the more obscure Gorilla Grodd and Black Manta.
Currently slated for 2017, we assume Injustice 2 will arrive on current-gen hardware alongside a PC release. We’ll have more details as E3 kicks into gear.

That trailer looks amazing. Can’t wait to see what story they cooked up this time. Yes, I like the story in the Netherealm games.

I didn’t care for the first and I don’t care for fighting games in general, but…
That was freaking COOL!

I love fighting games and I lovw comics. I played the first one thanks to PS+ but it wasn’t great.
Don’t think it works really…
