Nintendo have kicked off their diminished E3 presence this year with an utterly gorgeous new trailer for the freshly subtitled The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. Bloody hell, this looks exceptional.
The vast landscapes are dotted with ruins, filled with trees and covered in grass, with everything from ducks and birds to deer and horses roaming the lands. It’s clear that, presuming that this is from the Wii U version of the game, this is another technical masterclass from Nintendo.
More interesting are all of the gameplay elements on show, which will also feature in the rest of today’s Treehouse stream. Trees can be felled, grass set of fire, beehives disturbed and rocks pushed off hills, and Link seems to have some mystical abilities that let him create objects within the world.
Simply put, it looks incredible, and it’s going to be another long, long wait until it’s released on Wii U and NX early next year.

Looks amazing. Maybe by next generation, Nintendo will have given in and we can play Zelda on PS5!

And this is Wii U footage! I’m really curious about the NX version.
Looks absolutely fabulous. Can’t wait!
