Catch Up On Hours Of The Legend Of Zelda: Breath Of The Wild Footage From E3

I hope you're sitting comfortably.

The first day of Nintendo’s E3 Treehouse blew the doors off the upcoming The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, with a fresh new trailer leading into several hours of live gameplay being streamed. Time zones being what they are, we’re playing catch up with everything that they showed off, and thankfully all of the video has been archived on Nintendo’s YouTube page.

Below you’ll find separated chunks of the game, which go through an awful lot of the kinds of gameplay you can expect to see. In particular, the Shrines of Trials, which are puzzles within the world that you must solve in order to earn a Spirit Orb from the monks that designed them. These can also contain Runes, such as the Magnesis Rune, which lets you move metal objects, Remote Bomb, which comes in spherical and cube forms, the Stasis Rune, which freezes objects and the Cryonis Rune that creates an ice pillar from water.

The videos also explore the weapons and combat options open to you, with weapons now deteriorating as you use them, and a new food mechanic, that lets you forage for and cook food for greater benefits. Those include cold and heat resistance, if you use the right ingredients, and that can help when venturing to snowy or desert areas, in addition to changing clothes.

Finally, there’s a trio of new amiibo, which look lovely, and if you have the Wolf Link amiibo from Twighlight Princess HD, Wolf Link can come to join you in battle.

We’ll be getting to go hands on with the game later this month, and I honestly can’t wait! In the meantime, here’s all those videos:
