Microsoft To Shut Down Xbox Fitness By July 1st 2017

Microsoft has announced that it has begun the process of shutting down the Xbox Fitness service, with full shut down to happen in a year on July 1st 2017. This will include not being able to access content that users will have purchased while using the service. A roadmap of what to expect over the next year was detailed by Microsoft, with the first step taking place immediately.

From today Xbox Fitness content will no longer be able to be purchased, with existing content available until the the cut off date mentioned above. On December 15th the Free with Gold promotion, where Gold members can stream a collection of workouts at no charge, will be shut down. Then current users will have approximately seven months left to use purchased content.
