Firaxis has revealed a new nation that will appear in Civilization VI in the form of the Scythia, and will be led by Queen Tomyris. The Scythia’s inhabited the steppes of Asia and parts of Eastern Europe. The civilisation was present in some form between 11th century BC and 2nd century AD. One of the major conflicts for Scythia was when Tomyris’ army faced off against Cyrus of Persia’s forces. This conflict led to the death of Cyrus.
Scythia’s main military units are horse based but do not require the horse resource to construct. Getting the units up early will go a long way in helping Scythia dominate games. Civilization VI launches on October 21st for PC.
