Capcom Create First Humble Bundle For PlayStation In The Americas

Humble Bundles are great, letting people get their grubby mitts on some older games for low, low prices, but they’re generally restricted to dishing out games for PC, Mac and Linux. There have been a few exceptions to this rule, with a good few Android Humble Bundles and a pair of bundles for Nintendo’s platforms, and now Capcom have put together the first Humble Bundle for PlayStation.

It’s limited to North and South American countries this time around – you know how it is with PlayStation having three broad regions – but now that the gate has been cracked open, there’s a great chance of similar bundles being put together for other regions and by other companies.

The “pay what you want” tier ($1 and up) of games includes:

  • Strider (PS4 or PS3. Select your platform.)
  • Final Fight: Double Impact (PS3)
  • Wolf of the Battlefield: Commando 3 (PS3)
  • Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo HD Remix (PS3)
  • 50% off Street Fighter V PlayStation Store Coupon (Valid until 10/1/16)

The “Beat the Average” Tier then adds in:

  • Resident Evil (PS4 or PS3. Select your platform)
  • Mega Man 9 & 10 (PS3)
  • Okami HD (PS3)
  • Remember Me (PS3)
  • Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix (PS3)
  • Lost Planet 3 (PS3)

And finally, if you pay $15 or more, you get all that and:

  • Resident Evil 0 (PS4 or PS3. Select your platform)
  • Devil May Cry HD Collection (PS3)
  • 50% off Mega Man Legacy Collection PlayStation Store Coupon (Valid until 10/1/16)

You can’t really go wrong for $15, even if you don’t own a PS3 anymore!

I'm probably wearing toe shoes, and there's nothing you can do to stop me!

  1. There’s no special reason you couldn’t buy this, redeem it on a US account that may or may not contain completely made up details, and then happily play it on your UK account, is there?

Obviously if you want to use those discount coupons, that’s trickier as they’ll only work on a US account. But can you actually buy it from the UK? No checks when you come to pay for it? Ok, the pay buttons are hidden behind a “you need a PSN account from these regions” button, but is that all? The 2 Resident Evil remasters for about £11.44 is tempting.

    • To buy things from a US account you can buy PSN voucher code online.

Quite a lot of places sell them, including the likes of Ebay, PlayAsia, etc.

      I’ve done it before.

      • You can do that, yes. Although I wouldn’t encourage using Ebay for anything, ever. And the less said about PlayAsia the better.

But in this case, it’s Humble Bundle selling the games. Who may do checks to only sell it to people in the eligible countries. Or they might not. They list the prices in £, so that’s a start at least.
