DICE Confirms Pricing For Battlefield 1’s Rental Server Program

Battlefield 1 release will be getting a server rental program from November where players can get private servers direct from EA and have their own rules applied to games. Since it is a rental service it will cost you, and the prices have been revealed. PC players will have to pay more than console players, but this is due to EA taking control of the PC rental servers instead of depending on third party support which was the case in Battlefield 4.

From the heady days of the Mega Drive up until the modern day gaming has been my main hobby. I'll give almost any game a go.

  1. Feck off! 100 dollars!? For 180 days, that’s rather steep for what i think is half a year. Why not an entire year? They can shove the PC prices up their collective arses though. I mean, 150 for 6 months!?

Tis rather crap and surely, EA, freaking EA can afford to allow private servers for the game’s life duration unless BF1 is getting a sequel next year thus the 6 month server life.

    • Forgot to add: Meaning it’ll be just as much over here because EA likes the £1=$1dollar approach

  2. Great so they are doing this from the off. At least give us a few months of official servers before we have to put up with the server Nazis. How many weeks will it be before there are no Dice servers with no rules and the only games you will be able to get are on servers that dont allow weapons that take out vehicles.

  3. Oh yay! Here come the (insert Map name) 24/7 1000% ticket servers! Very rarely jumped on to a rented server and always look for the DICE Official servers on hardcore mode.
If you have 127 friends and want to set-up a custom game for you all then I see the (expensive) benefits. Sadly I only have 126 and thus won’t be shelling out for a server.

    • How do you find Dice official servers? Whenever i go into the server browser on BF4, it doesnt matter what server option i choose i always ended up getting Private servers only in the results. I have not seen an official Dice server on BF4 since i started playing again 6 months ago

      • Go to server filter, tick all the boxes you are looking for (size, location, Hardcore etc) and be sure to tick “official”. Then refresh and the list should be populated with -DICE OFFICIAL-
