Microsoft Are Selling Original Xbox One Bundles For £180

It’s not even Black Friday yet and Microsoft are slashing the price of the Xbox One already, with bundles starting at £180 on the Microsoft Store. Admittedly, this isn’t featuring the newer Xbox One S, so you’ll be getting a larger original model console and lose out on HDR and UHD Blu-Ray playback, but this is still fantastic value for money.

Across a number of bundles £180 will get you a 500GB Xbox One with two games. There’s always a copy of Forza Horizon 3 and a choice of Gears of War: Ultimate Edition, Quantum Break, Forza Motorsport 6, Rise of the Romb Raider, Halo 5 or Rare Replay.

£200 features bundles with the 1TB Xbox One, a copy of Gears of War 4 and a choice of The Division, Rainbow Six Siege or Forza 6. Alternatively, you can get a 500GB console with Kinect.

The one that stands out for me, though, is the £200 Elite bundle, with an 1TB solid state hybrid drive in the Xbox One and the Xbox One Elite controller, which on its own sells for around £120.

A lot of original model stock was cleared a few months ago in the wake of the Xbox One S announcement, so this could be quite limited. Certainly, it’s on the Microsoft Store and Game also have stock, but many other places have moved over exclusively to Xbox One S stock.

  1. If my ps3 & ps4 backlog wasn’t so big (plus about 30-40 blurays to watch) I’d be tempted at those prices. As it is, I just haven’t the time for another dust-gatherer ;)

  2. Dang it! If I had the means, the room, I would get it! Mainly for some X1 games as there are some that do interest me. That and me mate is getting one so naturally, it is my duty as a mate to kick her arse in any MP. :P

    But £180 is a steal!

Unless it’s the original original Xbox then that is cruel, MS.

  3. Can’t recommend it enough. Decent piece of equipment with brilliant games on it. Even better with the elite controller and sshd.

  4. “Rise of the Romb Raider” … yet another MS timed exclusive? ;)

  5. Microsoft are currently getting rid of their overproduction in hardware no one wants to buy. They already lost about 900 millions with their Surface tablets, probably want to avoid similar losses with the XBone… ;o)

No, seriously, I wish them luck with catching up, a healthy competition is good for all gamers.

    • Yeah, a bit like what Sony did with the £150 old PS4 consoles…

    • Sony with an 86% drop in profits aswell. Really hope the Pro and VR help see them get better returns, competition is great and has made the Xbox the fantastic system it is today
