Microsoft have, as always, been testing the latest system software features among their Preview Program members for a while, but the time for a full release is upon us with the Holiday Update.
New features include Clubs and Looking for Groups, both of which were announced back at E3, Achievement Rarity, Gamerscore leaderboards, Group Messaging and Emoji on the Xbox One system keyboard. Some of these features, like Clubs, spill over to the Xbox apps for Windows, iOS and Android.
The one feature that didn’t escape the preview phase was Arena, which was the third major feature from E3. Partnered with eSports companies, this will eventually bring a competitive space to the console for an easy way to get into eSports competitions online. You’ll just have to wait until next year to prove you’re better than everyone else at FIFA, I guess.
