Final Fantasy XIV’s Stormblood Expansion Releases June 20th 2017

It may be the Christmas holidays but the news never dies, it just slows down a bit. One major announcement made during this time comes from the team behind Final Fantasy XIV who have confirmed that the game’s Stormblood expansion will release on June 20th 2017 via Twitter. The expansion was first announced a couple of months ago with details being confirmed like the level cap being raised to 70, and Stormblood being set in the Ala Mhigo region.

To refresh your memory here’s the teaser trailer from the original reveal.

Stormblood will be the final expansion released for the PS3 version of Final Fantasy XIV, but there are plans for an upgrade option for PS3 users to switch to the PS4 version of the game.

  1. Very “Dead Fantasy” like, cool trailer! It’s nice to see Monty Oum’s influence on a trailer for a series that influenced his own work.
