Original Story

It looks like this month’s PlayStation Plus will include one of those mythical creatures, a full price AAA game. Amazon have listed February’s games as LittleBigPlanet 3 and Not A Hero.

We’re expecting Sony to confirm the line up, along with the PS Vita and PS3 games, very shortly.

  1. If true, excellent, I was honestly about the buy LBP 3.

  2. Anyone interested in LBP3 would probably have bought it by now when it’s on sale just about every other week, and some horrible pixely nonsense which is currently on sale anyway?

Hopefully it’s not true. It’s not as if Amazon is a reputable source for anything that hasn’t happened yet, so we might get lucky.

    • I’m interested. Just not interested enough to buy it, so this is a win ;)

      • Any win would be cancelled out by horrible pixely nonsense though. Like that awful Titan Souls in January.

    • Same as TC, LBP3 is one of those games I’d definitely fancy diving into, but I wouldn’t want to pay for it. Perfect PS+ game. This along with PCars makes these free games worth the immediate download for once.

  3. LBP 3 is a great game but it was a bit unfocused and flabby compared to LBP2. Having hub levels was a huge mistake too, and the bugs were horrific. For some time whenever I tried to enter the Ziggurat hub world I would get stuck in a death loop until I quit.

From what I heard it was made by a hodge-podge group of independent studios that had previously been hired by media molecule to help them on LBP2, plus a handful of lbp community members were hired to make levels too.

Its still a fun game though, especially for local multiplayer.

    • And by now there will be thousands of excellent user created levels!

  4. LBP3 was ok but for me, it was the simplicity of the first game that made LBP so perfect. The later games were far too busy. I actually preferred LBP3 to LBP2 but the third game was full of bugs at launch and the level creator was pretty much unplayable. I imagine there will have been a few patches since then, so I might try and go for the plat.

    • Instead of going for the plat, maybe you should consider some alternatives like braiding or corn rows. Then again, it’s your hair, so your choice.

  5. happy with this, have debated (with myself) many times over getting LBP3.

wasn’t sure what to play in the lead up to horizon: Zero dawn coming out as i just finished tomb raider

  6. Hopefully we see The Order 1886 on the PS Plus games soon

  7. those vita games look awful

  8. Ok, so that has to be the worst month ever. One game (LBP3) which is horribly broken (and not as good as the first 2), and 5 games that really don’t look very good at all. I could be wrong, but it’s not looking promising.

On the plus side, it’s February, so they’ll be replaced quicker than normal.

    • There’s alway a silver lining eh :) Having just finished the wonderful The Last Guardian I’m gonna consider it a month to go trophy hunting, which might even mean cracking out the PS3. Ad if I’m doing that I might as well play Red Dead Redemption.

    • ‘Horribly broken’ – Ha.

      • Unless it’s been fixed recently, it has a tendency to crash with one of those ever so helpful error numbers. Or just freeze on a loading screen.

It may not be as bad as it was at launch, but last time I tried it, things were still not right.

  9. *shrugs shoulders*…but LBP 3 is the least good game in the whole series (all six of them not including the mobile game).

  10. I really enjoy Torquel – I’m just awful at it and its hard as nails and I can see lots of people hating it but I’m glad I’ve got it already :3
