Awwww, The Witcher 3’s Geralt And Horizon’s Aloy Are Best Buds

CD Projekt Red, the chaps behind The Witcher 3, are rather taken with Horizon Zero Dawn and tweeted a lovely picture along with the message “We’re loving #HorizonZeroDawn, congratz to the @Guerrilla team and a high five from Geralt!”.

In return, Guerrilla tweeted “After @CDProjektRed’s lovely tweet we just had to return the favor! Here’s Geralt & Aloy engaged in a little friendly competition”

Lovely.

  1. Recently started playing Witcher 3 again (this time on death march difficulty) so seeing this is pretty cool.

I’ve been a little on the fence with Horizon so the fact CD Projekt Red like it is a big plus for me.

    • Same here just annoying now I have settled on the idea, amazon are saying 1to 2months delivery!

    • I usually am not a huge fan of open world games due to the amount of time you have to spend on them but HZD has me hooked. It’s not like Fallout or Skyrim in the sense where your achievements go unnoticed by all NPCs except for one. Most of the story related (and sometimes even side-quest related) stuff you do will be noticed by NPCs and it will slightly change the conversations.

The world is great, the game’s fun. All the collectibles/unlockables are just enough and don’t overstay they welcome. You don’t have to run around the world collecting 200 flags. But getting 12 mugs? That sounds easy enough! And 3 hours later you’re still running after that fox that kept getting away. The main story is pretty long (easily around 10 – 15h), but it’s really hard to stay your course while doing it. I’ve had around 43 hours of gameplay after the credits rolled and I’m going to put at least 5-7 hours for the remainig trophies now. But even after doing all that, I’ll probably come back to the game because it’s just fun to be in this world. And I’m the sort of person who as soon as the credits roll, just forgets about the whole game world and doesn’t care anymore.

The game is pretty good :D

  2. Absolutely brilliant game, a few minor niggles but nothing to put anyone off. Great gameplay, incredible story and so clever how they seeded documents, audio and holographic files around the map and missions that added to the narrative. Took me a little over 60 hours to platinum. Fingers crossed for DLC’s and a second outing sometime in the future
