Destiny 2 has been far from a secret. Bungie have been quite open with the fact that a sequel to its hit multiplayer sci fi shooter from 2014 would be happening, and now the studio has released the first promo image via Twitter. There aren’t any other details so far but I’d personally expect them to release at least a short teaser within the next few days or so.
The image itself appears to show a city on fire and the Traveller being a much darker presence than in the original Destiny. It could be that the darkness has finally caught up and is wreaking havoc. A leak from late last week suggests that Destiny 2 will be releasing in September, with a beta occurring beforehand.

I’m hyped for this and I have no shame.

Well that was odd.
Guess I was too excited for the post to work, or I formatted it wrong. One of those.

Will there be an actual story this time?

I think you mean “Will there be an actual story in the game, rather than hidden away on the Bungie website that no bugger ever went to”
