There’s a new update out today for The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild on both Switch and Wii U, and it comes with a delightful, if somewhat vague patch note. Taking the game to version 1.1.1, Nintendo say:
Adjustments have been made to make for a more pleasant gaming experience.
What does that actually mean, though? Does it make your console smell of rose petals? Does Prince Sidon now follow you round through the entire game giving you occasional compliments and generally positive vibes?
Well, Nintendo aren’t telling, but the NeoGAF community says that it helps to improve and smooth out the frame rate in some of the more troublesome parts of the game. The Wii U in particular suffers in some of the busier parts of the game, such as villages with lots of NPCs hanging around, but both platforms have occasional stutters. Every little performance boost helps!
