You can’t play Injustice 2 yet, but Warner Bros. are already starting to hype their DLC plans and release trailers for the first of their DLC additions to the game: Red Hood, Starfire and Sub-Zero. Maybe they just ran out of trailers for the main game, but this kind of thing rarely goes down well, leading to the suspicion that these were things that could and should have been in the game. It’s not that simple, though.
Game development is a rather fluid process, with various departments of a studio in demand and under pressure at different times during a game’s creation. Artists, for example, will have had a diminishing role as the game goes through beta testing. Warner say that they are “still in development and will be available for download after the game launches,” which indicates that, while they appear in the below trailer, they’re far from being fully fleshed out creations.
Injustice 2 is out on 19th May in the UK, coming to PS4, Xbox One and PC.

What. The. Feck. Are you fecking serious? DLC when the game is not even gone gold(As far as i’m aware). DLC for a fighting game where characters are a main feature and they fecking do this? FECK. YOOOOU. There’s Day one DLC which I tolerate because it’s easy to ignore most of the time and usually doesn’t add much to the experience. This? Characters that should be in the game and have been cut out or put aside for DLC? I do not tolerate that. FECK YOU, WARNER!
I’ll accept that things happen in development but ffs, wait a month or two after launch before annoucing the damn thing.

There’s little that puts me off a game more than seeing dlc hyped up before the game has even released. I usually wait for a complete edition instead.
