From the heady days of the Mega Drive up until the modern day gaming has been my main hobby. I'll give almost any game a go.

  1. Doesn’t give much away does it?
Hopefully be good as it’s based on the excellent re-boot rather than the campy original.

    • It does appear to be based on that, yes. But set before that during the first war.

So sometime between Caprica (which was set before that first war) and 40 years before the first series of BSG.

And with a Rear-Admiral Lucinda Cain in charge? I guess related to another character?

Hopefully it’ll have music by the great Bear McCreary. But isn’t he busy doing every TV programme ever at the moment? Along with the next God of War game and some films.

      • I was only reading a feature about Bear McCreary the other day in SFX, I didn’t realise all the great stuff he’s worked on like Walking dead, Defiance, & many more great genre shows. I’m not that knowledgeable on soundtracks to be truthful, I normally just veg-out and enjoy without taking any notice of the important stuff like who creates what ;)

      • It’s not just the amount of stuff he’s worked on, but the huge range of instruments he uses. Lots of drums from all over the world in BSG, bagpipes in Outlander (although that was a bit obvious, really), the obsession with the hurdy gurdy in Black Sails, and some weird 15 foot long electric “guitar” for the wonderful 10 Cloverfield Lane.

I only know this because he seems to really put the effort in to his work and likes to share all sorts of details about what he was doing and why and who else deserves the credit.
