Take Two Interactive Acquires Kerbal Space Program

The team of Kerbal Space Program has announced that Take Two Interactive, parent company for the like of Rockstar and 2K Games, has purchased the brand. The developer has not been acquired as part of that deal, but it has made it clear that development will run as normal, with the focus being on the Making History expansion.

A statement was released on the official Kerbal Space Program site.

This is a very exciting time for KSP and the Community, and we hope you’re as thrilled as we are. The team at Take-Two are big fans of KSP, who have been persistently knocking on our door trying to work with us for a long time. They share your passion for the game and we’re really eager to see what Squad and Take-Two can do together for Kerbal Space Program moving forward!

From the heady days of the Mega Drive up until the modern day gaming has been my main hobby. I'll give almost any game a go.

  1. Does that mean it’ll appear on the PS4 in Europe now?

Which by the looks of things wasn’t Sony’s fault after all. Or it was the US Sony’s fault for allowing it to be released in a broken state. Sounds like they’ve fired the developers that did the PS4 port and have someone else porting it again.

  2. It is a really great game but on xbox one it was not optimised for use with a controller. Spending over an hour trying to attach a fuel tank to a rail that can be jettisoned and still not getting it connected properly (meaning the rocket would never work properly) Has stopped me playing until it is updated. I bought it on day one and almost a year later it has never been patched. Hopefully it will be sorted with this take over as it is a lot of fun.
