Bonfire Entertainment has confirmed that its sci-fi title Original Journey will be releasing on PC on August 16th, while PS4, Xbox One, and Switch releases are expected in Q1 2018. Original Journey looks to mesh together platforming, tower defence, puzzles, racing, and shooting while making the use of hand drawn assets, which you can see in the trailer below.
Players take on the role of The Rookie, a member of the Ato species that has left its home planet in search of the Origin Stone to save their world. Unfortunately for them it is apparently on Planet Shadow, which should be fair warning really. Planet Shadow is procedurally generated meaning players will have different experiences. There will be a number of weapons to use and mech suits to utilise, with each having their own advantages.
