Rime’s Nintendo Switch Release Date Is 14th/17th November

Tequila Works’ lovely adventure game, exploring love and loss as so many indie developers currently are, has been one of my favourites to release so far this year. After a protracted and turbulent development process, it came out the other end living up to much of the initial promise from its gorgeous announcement trailer, all those years ago.

While its release on PC, PS4 and Xbox One has come and gone, Tequila Works had also announced that the game would be coming to Nintendo Switch, and it now has a release date of 14th November in the US and 17th November in the EU.

You’ll be able to buy it in two different forms, as a digital download for $29.99 / €34.99 / £29.99 from the Switch’s eShop, and as a physical release for $39.99 / €44.99 / £39.99. The reason for the disparity is that the cartridges for Switch add to the cost of production much more so than releasing on disc for PS4 and Xbox One. To compensate players and allow for a different price digitally, it will include a download of David Garcia’s gorgeous soundtrack, which is available separately for $10.
