Planet Of The Apes: Last Frontier Announced For PS4, Xbox One, And PC

The Planet Of The Apes franchise has been on a real upswing over the last few years thanks to the new trilogy of movies, but the presence of the franchise in gaming has been muted. That is until now. Today new studio Imaginati revealed Planet Of The Apes: Last Frontier, with the game being published by Andy Serkis’ Imaginarium.

The game’s story is set a year after Dawn Of The Planet Of The Apes, but follows a breakaway group of apes that have taken refuge in the Rocky Mountains. They try to live in isolation but as winter descends they need to go into human territory in search of food. Players will experience the story from both human and ape perspectives, making various decisions that can lead to one of multiple endings. Due to Last Frontier being standalone to the films any character could die thanks to a choice you make.

Planet Of The Apes: Last Frontier is set to launch later this year.

From the heady days of the Mega Drive up until the modern day gaming has been my main hobby. I'll give almost any game a go.

  1. Where the hell did this come from?

The new movie is excellent so really looking forward to this now. Looks great.

Definitely rooting for the apes though.

  2. Oh so it’s like a Telltale game? Not what I was expecting.
