The Cinematic Assassin’s Creed Origins Trailer Shows Death And Intrigue

Assassin’s Creed Origins is shaping up to be a fresh take on Ubisoft’s flagship series, while going back to its earliest setting yet. In Assassin’s Creed Origins players will be exploring and assassinating across an Egypt that isn’t as powerful as it once was, with main character Bayek facing off against powerful Egyptian figures as well as it seems against a very powerful Roman one. A new cinematic trailer shows us these various characters, as well as Bayek delivering his own form of justice.

It is a cinematic but it is put together well.

Assassin’s Creed Origins is out on October 27th for PS4, Xbox One, and PC.

  1. I’m gonna take a wild guess here, and say that’s a Leonard Cohen song in the background – must be newish, never heard it.

    • Wild guess? It’s not actually possible to fail to recognise his voice, is it?

It’s apparently “You Want It Darker”, the title track from his last album released last October, just before his death.

I did cheat and use a handy app on my phone to listen and work it out for me.

  2. Trailer looks good, can’t say the same for the gameplay I’ve seen though. The combat looks very clunky, then everything else pretty much like every other AC game, just in Egypt.

  3. All over this. Glad Far Cry isn’t out at the same time, like in some previous years.
