The Nintendo Switch version will include a Joy-Con mode with gyroscopic, gesture-based controls, HD rumble and new wide and over-the-shoulder camera angles, and touch screen controls for “portable detective work.”

The Xbox One and PS4 versions will be “a range of technical enhancements for greater visual fidelity and authenticity” including hi-res textures, new lighting and clouds, and new camera angles. The game will run at 1080p on standard consoles and 4K on PS4 Pro and Xbox One X.

There will also be a new game, L.A. Noire: The VR Case Files, for the HTC Vive which will feature “seven select cases from the original game rebuilt specifically for a virtual reality experience on the HTC VIVE”

  1. Someone get me a party GIF, this is bloody amazing news.

  2. Meh. Waiting for RDR…

  3. Never mind L.A. Noire, give us Max Payne 3 or RDR! Would love to play either of these again and MP3 shouldn’t be a problem, what with it using the GTA5 engine…

  4. boring game, sometimes the facial animations worked & sometimes you questioned it. Give us midnight club 3

  5. I absolutely loved this game when it originally came out but I’m not going to double dip on it. I’d rather have a RDR remaster which would of been suitable had it been out a little while ago, it would be to close now with RDR 2 coming out next year, hopefully…

  6. Excellent, I haven’t played this yet, on Switch it’ll be perfect.

  7. Pant poopingly awesome news. One of my favourite games ever.

  8. Rockstar doing up-spuffed versions of games. Hmmm, thought they were about that?

    • *above that.

    • Yeah it’s not like GTAV got remade for PS4 and Xbox One is it…

      • Does GTAV count as being remade? Or was it just delayed by a year hoping everyone would buy the PS3 version and then buy it again for PS4?

      • It wasn’t advertised as a remaster. It seemed to be more of a port with new features then a fully fledged remaster.

  9. Hmm, L.A Noire could be interesting/even better in VR but a remaster on the other platforms? Also, A Rockstar game on Nintendo!? Granted, the erm…. gameboy advance did get a GTA but Rockstar on a Nintendo plaform!?

Oh, wait, just recalled that there was a DS GTA game. Nevermind.

But L.A Noire? Seriously? Also bit scummy due to how they casted the original developers to one side after it was released. L.A Noire is kinda a bit dull and well, of all the games to remaster, L.A Noire? Why not Max Payne 1 and 2? Granted, that would be more of a remake due to the age of the games and the tech. I’ve heard that RDR is an utter mess regarding it’s code so we may never see a remaster of it.

And of course, gimmicky crap on the switch version. Did Nintendo issue a policy of any third party games must have it?
