Ubisoft Details Season Pass And Post Launch Plans For Assassin’s Creed Origins

Ubisoft has confirmed what players should expect for Assassin’s Creed Origins after the game has released, detailing both Season Pass content as well as the free content that will be available. As you may expect with a season pass there will be additional story DLC with exclusive gear, while the free content includes the already announced Discovery mode and challenge modes.

There will be two story DLCs available for Assassin’s Creed Origins. One of these is called The Hidden Ones and it will be set years after the main events of the game where the Brotherhood continues to grow. However for this expansion to continue it must go head to head with a Roman force. This will be available in January and it will also raise the character level cap.

The second story DLC is named The Curse of the Pharaohs and this will be a lot more mystical with enemies like Anubis warriors and undead pharaohs. A curse is responsible for their rise and its source needs to be found and destroyed.  This expansion releases in March. Additional season pass content includes Roman Centurion and Horus Packs that have new items including weapons, outfits, and mounts. Additionally season pass holders get the Calamity Blade and 500 Helix coins when Assassin’s Creed Origins launches.

The game’s free content includes the Trials of the Gods, events where players face off against the ancient gods of Egypt. These will take place at set times with first one occurring 15 days after launch. Daily quests will be given via the Nomad’s Bazaar who is a travelling merchant. Completing these quests nets exotic rewards, and will be available from launch. Photo mode is also in the game at launch. A horde mode will be added in early 2018 where players face off against enemy waves in a Gladiator arena. The Discovery Tour is also expected in early 2018, which will allow players to wander ancient Egypt and learn more about it without having to worry about combat.

  1. Sounds good, any idea what the season pass will cost?

    • Your soul camdaz, your soul. And a leg.

      • They can have my soul but I’m keeping my legs, I find them a bit useful.

      • No season pass for me then as I’m pretty sure the devil possesses mine. He/she must have just took it, as I can’t remember selling it and I haven’t got what I imagine I would’ve traded it for either.
