Here’s The 60 Games Coming To PlayStation VR In 2017 And Early 2018

As PlayStation VR turns one year old, Sony are looking to the future of the headset and highlighting the 60 games coming out in the rest of 2017 and early 2018. There’s a lot of interesting stuff to look forward to, but as we’ve noted elsewhere, Sony haven’t managed to reach a new milestone since the 1 million sales mark that was announced back in June (itself not far beyond the 915,000 sold by February).

In the next few months we’ll have GT Sport’s VR mode, alongside Supermassive’s modern day shooter Bravo Team and horror prequel The Inpatient, and there’s Bethesda’s Skyrim and Fallout 4 VR remakes alongside Doom VFR. They also highlight Q-Games’ Pixeljunk VR, Obduction from the team behind Myst, and the fantastically mousey adventure in Moss.

Update: Oops. Not Fallout 4.

Notably missing from this list is Ace Combat 7, meaning that as far as the public facing sides of Bandai and Sony are concerned, it won’t be appearing in “early” 2018.

Here’s the 45 games due out in 2017:

  • Anamorphine
  • Ark Park
  • Blade And Soul: Table Arena – Ncsoft Corporation
  • Brain Voyagers
  • Bravo Team

It’s great to see so many games in development, but is this enough to convince those waiting to see how things pan out and the general masses that PSVR will be a good buy this Christmas? I hope so, but there’s a certain lack of recognisable brands here and certainly little follow up on the experiments and tentative first steps that saw the likes of the VR Mission in Star Wars Battlefront, Dirt Rally for PSVR and the Jackal VR Mission from Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare – admittedly I’m not sure how COD WWII would follow this up.

  1. I’n not too sure you need PSVR to play Drunkn Bar Fight. It is the weekend after all.

  2. By the way guys…

Every time I post a comment, I get a page with an error message. Refresh and the comment isn’t there. Re-post and get a message telling I’ve made a duplicate comment.

    • Yeah, I’ve noticed that too and will try and see if it can be fixed…

Don’t worry though, if you get the blank screen, your post has been submitted. Sounds like you’re pressing “back” to get back to the page, but refresh from that point and you should then see your comment.

      • Whew thought it was my phone or net being messed up!

  3. Some of the games on there definitely sound interesting. I was hoping there would be added VR support to existing games outside of missions etc. Like RE7 for example. No Mans Sky, WipEout, Alien Isolation just to name a few.

    • Yeah, I don’t get why they haven’t made that VR version for PSVR yet.

  4. Not many of those names mean much on their own but Pixeljunk often means fun times ahead so that could be something to look forward to.

  5. How many of those are actually games and how many are “experiences” that cost way too much?

  6. I’m already looking forward to about a half-dozen of those , with a few more garnering my interest too – hopefully media molecule’s Dreams will make an appearance by then as well.
I expect Skyrim VR to shift a few units as it’s been such a compelling gaming experience for many gamers beyond just the Playstation community and the opportunity to be “inside” that exerience has huge appeal. Mind you, we’ll still have to wait for the reviews..
