Though it’s not performed anywhere near as well as Splatoon 2 or Mario Kart 8 on Nintendo Switch, ARMS has still had a great debut on the platform, offering something new and intriguing. Nintendo’s support for the game is continuing at pace as well, with the announcement and release of ARMS 4.0 update, including a new character, a bunch of new fist and a Splatest-like event called Party Crash.
Misango is the latest new character coming to the game, whose home arena is the Temple Grounds stage, where he fights for his homeland and his fellow Misangans. He’s got Scorpion, Skully and Glusher fists, but also has an entity that can boost his abilities in different ways, such as protecting from flinching. However, it’s completely out of your control when it changes its effect, meaning you’ll need to keep adapting how you play.
Party Crash will debut next week on 22nd November, running until 24th November and pitting players in the Battle for Stardom between Spring Man and Ribbon Girl. If you use either of these characters, your points will be boosted by 1.5x, with the community’s totals then determining the winner. Special sessions throughout will then further boost points by 2x and 3x.
