Xbox One Update Will Add Mini Game Hubs And Do Not Disturb Mode

Microsoft has announced some new features that will be heading to the Xbox One, including a Do Not Disturb mode and mini game hubs. Xbox Insider Program members would have already received a console update as well which adds a next achievement features which tracks progress towards the next achievable achievement in a game.

The community feed will be tweaked so the most recent comments will be displayed first, and players will also be able to see who has liked their comments. Additional inactivity shutdown options are also being added, letting users determine whether the Xbox One should shut down at two, three, four, or five hours, with the one or six options sticking around too.

A small group of users will receive a look at experimental features as well to allow Microsoft to gauge interest before pursuing them further.

  1. What are mini game hubs?

    • Sounds like all that stuff that pops up on the PS4 when you accidentally press down instead of X to launch a game.

“With this feature, you’ll be able to access great content for the games you’ve played recently from a Game Hub without ever having to leave the action. Mini Game Hubs provide an easy way to see friends who are currently playing, upcoming Achievements, Looking for Group posts, and more.”

      • The Xbox already has game hubs, so these will simply condense that information even further into just the most relevant information.
