For Honor To Get Dedicated Servers This Month

Ubisoft’s slash ’em up For Honor will be getting dedicated servers for PC gamers on February 19th with consoles players getting them a little later. The roll out is part of the fifth season for the game, which goes by the name The Age Of Wolves.

As Jennifer Aniston used to say, “Pay attention, here comes the science bit”:

At launch, the dedicated servers will focus on PVP game modes and will fully remove the session migrations as well as the NAT requirements while eliminating most of the resyncing, resulting in a more stable experience and improved matchmaking. The development teams will closely monitor the situation to ensure a smooth transition for PC players before implementing the new infrastructure on consoles.

“Changing the online infrastructure while the game was live was a challenge, but a decisive step in improving the game experience of our players,” said Damien Kieken, Game Director. “The implementation of the dedicated servers gives us confidence in the direction the game is taking and will pave the way for a full year of continued support and new contents.”
