Someone at Sega HQ is going to have a spanking this morning as it turns out the demo of Yakuza 6 that appeared on the US PlayStation store a few days ago was the full game. The demo was meant to only let you play the prologue but users found they could unlock the whole thing.
We apologize, but have had to remove the Yakuza 6: The Song of Life demo from the PlayStation Store. We are as upset as you are, and had hoped to have this demo available for everyone today. We discovered that some were able to use the demo to unlock the full game. 1/2

The problem was only reported on the US store but the demo has now vanished from the UK and Australian PlayStation stores as well. The game isn’t out until April 17th.

Damn, so the demo was a worthwhile download after all! ;)
I downloaded and played it but was disappointed with what was available for the 36GB. One tutorial fight, lot’s of story and literally two small street brawls as you run to 2 or 3 waypoints before you’re prevented reaching the next waypoint by a ” This area not available in Trial” barrier. You could hang around after that for more random street fights but there didn’t seem to be any point.

Was there any hint what the unlock was, out of curiosity?
Someone definitely got a taking too over at Sega

Nevermind, just read up on it. Turns out it was just the full game….
Not nearly as interesting. Very bad for it to have been that easy
