Light Saber Rhythm Action VR Game Beat Saber Confirmed For PSVR

That’s a headline and half isn’t it? What a lot of concepts Beat Saber has smooshed in to one game, a rhythm action game in which you use light sabers to slice through cubes, and you have to do it in VR.

The game was announced a while back but a recent update to their FAQ on Facebook, as spotted by PSL, reveals the game is now coming to PlayStation VR. Check out the trailer.

I feel I may have to add extra arms days to my gym session if I get assigned the review. Here’s an alternate, longer look at the game.

The team say the release date is “in the next few months” and alongside PSVR the game is also coming to HTC Vive, Oculus Rift, and Windows Mixed Reality headsets.

  1. Can we stop having VR games that involve far too much exercise? That’s not what games are for!

Also, the music’s a bit crap.

    I’m getting old, obviously.

On the other hand, it does look quite fun. But may lead to damage to hands, furniture, and loved ones faces as you swing your arms about without any clue as to where they’re really going.

So yeah, it does look quite fun ;)
