Far Cry 3: Classic Edition Is Out On 29th May For Far Cry 5 Season Pass Owners

As Ubisoft detailed all the weird and wonderful stuff coming in the Far Cry 5 DLC season pass, a nice surprise alongside the zombies, Vietcong and Martian spiders was that Far Cry 3 would be getting a remaster. Thankfully, Ubisoft didn’t pull an Activision, and clearly said that it would be a relatively brief timed exclusive for season pass owners, and now we know just how brief.

Far Cry 3: Classic Edition is out on 29th May for Far Cry 5 season pass owners on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One – PC owners will just get the PC version of Far Cry 3 – but it’s just four weeks later on 26th June that you’ll be able to buy it standalone.

Now there’s just the question of how much it will cost standalone. If you do grab the season pass though, you’ll also get the three part weirdness of this:

  • Hours of Darkness: Players will travel back in time to Vietnam to battle against Việt Cá»™ng soldiers
  • Dead Living Zombies: Players will face hordes of zombies in multiple b-movie scenarios
  • Lost on Mars: Players will leave Earth behind to go toe-to-claws with Martian arachnids
