The Monster Hunter Movie Shoots This September

Announced two years ago by Monster Hunter Stories producer Ryozo Tsujimoto, the Monster Hunter movie has moved into pre-production and will start shooting this September with Paul W. S. Anderson directing an writing, with Milla Jovovich in the starring role. This is the same team that created the six Resident Evil movies so that gives you an idea of what to expect.

The budget has been set at just $60 million which remarkably low for an action movie that has to include a lot of CGI monsters, however Anderson has shown with the Resident Evil movies that he can make a small budget go a very long way and be very profitable, the series has made over $1.2 billion. The Monster Huntr movie will shot in Cape Town, South Africa, where the last Resident Evil movie was shot, and it’s planned as the first of a series, “We are in the business of brand creation,” said producer Martin Moszkowicz.

The reboot of Resident Evil, which was announced just days after the final film was released, is still on the cards but may be turned in to a television series.

  1. OH FUCK OFF! NO! Just no. Fucki…. *rages into pillow*

He shat on Resident Evil with his “Heeey, look at how awesome my wife is!” films with the odd resident evil character/couple of characters there to be nothing. Just no. Alice was a damn Mary Sue and I fully expect this to be just as bad as the Alice Evil films.

FFS. Why? Capcom? Why let this hack fecking near it? The Final Chapter was utterly trash and this is a quick way to put a lot of people off it just because of the director.

    • On the plus side, he’s only shitting on 1 franchise at a time now. Not like when he combined Alien and Predator and managed to turn it into something truly terrible.
