The June Games With Gold Include Assassin’s Creed Chronicles: Russia And A Smite Bundle

Microsoft have announced the next batch of games that will be given away to those with an Xbox Gold subscriptions. First up is the final chapter of the Assassin’s Creed Chronicles trilogy, Assassin’s Creed Chronicles: Russia. The game was released around two years ago and we gave it, uhm, well there’s no nice way of saying this, we gave it 3/10. It’s a bit crap.

Will the second game tempt you? Actually it’s not a game at all, it’s a pack of skins, characters and other gubbins for free-to-play title Smite. The pack, worth $100, includes twenty extra gods and over fifty bonus items such as skins, announcer packs, and more.

Also coming to the service is the very excellent Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed and just-fine LEGO Indiana Jones 2: The Adventure Continues, both of which are Xbox 360 games that are backwards compatible. Here are the full details.

• Assassin’s Creed Chronicles: Russia ($9.99): Available June 1 to June 30 on Xbox One

• Smite Gold Bundle ($99.99): Available June 16 to July 15 on Xbox One

• Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed ($29.99): Available June 1 to June 15 on Xbox One and Xbox 360

• LEGO Indiana Jones 2: The Adventure Continues ($19.99): Available June 16 to June 30 on Xbox One and Xbox 360

What do you think of the games on offer?

  1. Personally, I enjoyed AC chronicles Russia the most out of the trilogy. 3/10 is stupidy harsh imo.

  2. Yeesh. What an abysmal offering.

  3. Extra content for a F2P game? That’s almost as bad as including only the first episode of a game and then having that first episode become free anyway a couple of months later.

So both MS and Sony do something stupid sometimes. But I guess Sony are going to really embarrass MS later today when the PS+ games are announced. Although there’s always a chance they can manage to do worse, I guess.
