The Forest, a survival game that finds you searching for your missing son after a plane crash, will launch on PlayStation 4 on November 6th. It’s taken a while to get here, I first wrote about the game back in November 2013.
The PC version has been widely praised with a Metacritic score of 83, the game also includes multiplayer co-op with four worried fathers working together to survive and save their sons.
“Our game encourages creativity,” writes Anna Terekhova, Co-Founder of Endnight Games on the PlayStation Blog. “The game doesn’t tell you what to do, so everyone will experience their own version of the story. We try to give players as many options as possible and it’s been surprising for us how different individual playthroughs can be. Some players will focus on combat and exploration, whilst others will focus on building the most insane base possible.”
