After a long time in development, Frozen Synapse 2 is finally coming out for PC next week on 13th September.
The game is far more ambitious than the 2011 original, taking its unforgiving style of simultaneous turn-based tactics and building it into a procedurally generated city, where you can deploy units to defend any building or road. There’s a story woven into that alongside randomly generated missions and AI factions that are fighting for control.
The asynchronous multiplayer returns – both players submit their turns individually and then can watch the combined results at their leisure – as does a new One Turn mode that compares you to other players in a given scenario.
