War (hammer) huh! What is it good for? Ab-so-lute-ly sh*t tonnes of games! Say it again! That’s not quite how the song goes but it should, I honestly have lost track of the number Warhammer titles, Games Workshop’s financial troubles back in 2015 saw them selling the video game rights to their various franchises willy-nilly resulting in unrelated games from a raft of different publishers.
The latest of these is Warhammer: Chaosbane from Bigben and Eko Software, and they have released a gameplay trailer with developer commentary. It shows a Diablo-esque game and introduces the first two playable characters; Konrad Vollen, captain of the Empire and specialist in close combat capable of taking a lot of damage, and a High Elf mage named Elontir with devastating long-distance attacks.
Warhammer: Chaosbane will be available for consoles and PC in 2019.
