A New Trailer Teases Thronebreaker: The Witcher Tales

Don’t you just hate thronebreakers? They come along, get in the way, and proceed to smash up a perfectly good throne. Does my nut in! And now, to add insult to injury, CD Projekt Red are basing an entire game around these despicable degenerates? Not on my watch.

Oh, what’s that you say? Thronebreaker is actually an RPG set in the Witcher world with card based combat?

Well, that’s alright then. I will allow myself to be teased by this new trailer:

Thronebreaker is from the same team that brought you the darling of the video game world, Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. The player will be able to ”explore new and mysterious regions of the monster-infested world of The Witcher, manage resources, develop units and engage in story battles.” The game will utilise gameplay mechanics from GWENT: The Witcher Card Game as a foundation for it’s combat. Just watch out for virtual paper cuts whilst you fling all those cards around.

Thronebreaker: The Witcher’ Tales will be released for PC, PS4 and Xbox One on December 4th.
