We’re about half way through our own Game of the Year awards, but now it’s time to turn to you, the community, and find out what you think are the best games of the year. Perhaps there’s a different game you rate compared to us? A little gem of a game that you think has been overlooked?
As with last year we’ve trimmed things back to six categories. Without getting bogged down too much, there’s sections for best single player, best multiplayer, best independent, best VR game, biggest disappointment and the community’s Game of the Year 2018.
We’ve tried to be as all encompassing as possible, but if there’s a game you’re dying to vote for, complain as vociferously as possible in the comments and we’ll add it to the list. If that’s the case, don’t vote until it’s been updated!
The voting will be open from now through to 23:59PM on Sunday 30th December, and we’ll post the results as 2018 2019 dawns. Please only vote once, as subsequent votes will not be counted.

GOTY for me was pretty easy Detroit Become Human was my favourite single player experience this year only thing that came close was Spiderman.

Detroit is my GotY. I’m genuinely disappointed that it hasn’t featured more prominently in the more focused TSA awards this past week. Great features either way, I value your opinion, guys.

Detroit was a phenomenal game and a great one-time experience (for me). I had every intention of going back and re-playing every outcome but I was so happy with my choices, I didn’t want to see the other paths.
It’s a shame that it seems to have come and gone without barely a shred of the recognition it deserves. I wonder if the accusations about the studio environment and a general disliking of David Cage come into play at all?

Taken a bit of a step back from gaming this year so haven’t had the chance to play any of the nominated games. Red Dead 2 is the only game I’ve bought in 2018 – can I vote for Rocket League instead haha

Red Dead Redemption II always and ever
